Detailed Itinerary
Arrival in Jammu & Transfer to Katra
Upon arrival at Jammu airport or railway station, you will be warmly received and transferred to Katra (approx. 55 km, 1.5 hours). Check into your hotel at the base of the Trikuta Mountains and rest in preparation for your pilgrimage.
Holy Trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine
Begin your spiritual journey by proceeding to Banganga to commence the 14 km trek up the Trikuta hills to the sacred cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, situated at 5,200 feet. After seeking blessings from the Goddess, descend back to Katra for a well-deserved overnight rest.
Scenic Drive to the Pines of Patnitop
Following breakfast, take a scenic 3-hour drive (85 km) ascending to the beautiful hill station of Patnitop. Known for its gentle slopes, thick pine forests, and picturesque surroundings, enjoy a relaxed day taking nature walks or partaking in beginner-friendly skiing if in season. Check in and overnight in Patnitop.
Overland Journey to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds)
Embark on a beautiful 6-hour mountain drive (180 km) crossing into the Kashmir Valley toward Pahalgam. Situated at the confluence of the Lidder River and Sheshnag Lake streams, Pahalgam offers unparalleled tranquility. Check into your hotel and enjoy the crisp mountain air.
Leisure & Exploration in Pahalgam
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Pahalgam. Opt for a peaceful walk along the rushing Lidder River or hire a pony to explore the scenic trails of Chandanwari, Aru Valley, or Betaab Valley (on direct payment). Overnight in Pahalgam.
